To connect articles from print media with digital extras, the ETH spin-off kooaba launched a new tool: the Paperboy. Using this instrument, it is possible to recommend newspaper articles to friends by snapping a picture of the page. The page is recognized and direct links allow sharing it via email, Facebook or Twitter with a single click. You can further explore related information like videos, images or links to selected topics. Paperboy automatically finds URLs on pages of print publications. Finally, you can automatically store the digital version of the page in a personal archive along with related information
Paperboy, which works within the new trend of Augmented Reality, was created by kooaba whose co-founder, Herbert Bay, was a member of a former Swiss National Startup Team which visited Boston during venturelab’s Venture Leaders program.
